The heat of the midday sun melted away the moment Leo's bare feet touched the fine, powdery white sand. Before him stretched a breathtaking tropical lagoon, its waters a brilliant, impossible shade of turquoise that seemed to glow from within. Crystal water lapped gently against the shore, so clear he could count the pale pebbles resting on the bottom and watch tiny silver fish dart through the shallows.

A narrow, weathered wooden dock stretched out from the beach, ending abruptly in the stillness of the paradise. Leo walked to the edge of the planks, the sun warming his shoulders, and sat down with his legs dangling just inches above the surface. Overhead, a cluster of emerald palm trees swayed lazily in a soft ocean breeze, casting dancing shadows over the pristine landscape. There were no phones ringing here, no deadlines pressing—only the rhythmic whisper of the tide and the absolute quiet of a world forgotten by time. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath of the salt-kissed air, finally letting the restless noise of his old life drift away on the wind.
